can you help identify this please

Hi Can anyone help ID this.
It is a deep, rich ruby red in colour- quite heavy.
It has a kind of " controlled bubble " design and a polished pontil on the base.
The bubble appear larger in my photos than they actually are although the start very small at the base and get slightly larger as they
rise up the dish.
it is about 15 cm across and 6 cm deep.
I initially thought it was an ashtray but there are no cut outs to place a cigarette- so im assuming its just a  bowl.
Mum thinks dad may have got it Norway or Denmark in the 70's but she's not sure- its been in a box forever.

It could be a dish to put nuts in. I am not sure who the maker would have been.

This is Whitefriars Rosie, the cigarette cuts were removed as they incurred tax so they made these ashtrays without from about the 1940s I think.
