Had to smile at this: -

The description is very wordy and I got fed-up on page 10. So, I asked the vendor for a model number.

"If there was a shape number label I would have surely mentioned it. Alas I do not own any Whitefriars books so am unable to help you out as we have only instinctively bought what we liked. We have collected Whitefriars for over 30 years whereby its pontil is unmistakable...which is why I rate the piece as scarce".

Keep your comments brief please!!

This seller does like a description and is usually very well informed but wrong this time I think.

Marc, totally agree. I have pointed him in the direction of Emmi's blog on knobblies and have recommended a book for him. It just made me smile!

He may have been collecting WF for years but he got that one totally wrong :)
